How it's
built

Debbie talks with Travis from Swinerton Construction about the unique and efficient way each hotel room is being constructed.

Today Debbie Wardrop, hotel manager, and Travis, senior supervisor, are here to give specific updates on the construction of the 7 Cedars Hotel.

While driving past the site on highway 101 drivers may have noticed large piles of wood which are all going to be constructed into the hotel. For efficiency all of the materials are currently on-site aside from the roofing material, allowing for men to easily and safely work. Debbie and Travis take an inside look at the construction of the fifth floor Corner Suites where guests will enjoy a beautiful view and luxurious space. These rooms will be over 1000 square feet and are divided into the living and bedroom portions making this hotel one of the best places to stay in Sequim, WA. Once these suites are completed on Monday, the last deliveries of trusses and roof decking material will be received, where they can begin going vertical on the building.

The forethought of the 7 Cedars team was to ensure they are using local resources and local people, which has made a gratifying experience for the Olympic Peninsula community. This hotel is just one more place the 7 Cedars team has integrated its thoughtful processes of seven generations. Making this one of the places to stay in Bellingham.

The construction is on schedule, so stay tuned for more updates in a couple of weeks! Thanks for watching.
